Options- Cranes and
Platforms
Cranes have several different impacts on the cost:
-
The crane itself
-
The crane rails
-
The hangar has to be higher (so there is more structure, more wind-loading and bracing and foundation loads are
bigger)
-
The hangar is costlier to heat
Be
sure you really need these expensive toys. Cranes will normally be suspended, sometimes
with several end carriages. They can cover the whole area; or they can cover
just the area of the wings. Special small span cranes can be constructed over
the nose area. High level cranes of small span can sometimes be built into the
roof steelwork above the rudder, or above the jacking slot for the rudder. We
usually supply the crane with the building if specified, however if you want to
buy the cranes elsewhere please tell us all dimensions and loadings. The price
of the structure may increase if lower quality cranes are used.
Telescopic platforms may also be built in.
